-. The board approved a share repurchase trust agreement on June 11, 2026, and the decision was disclosed the same day.

-. All shares to be repurchased will be canceled to reduce shares in circulation and enhance per-share value.

-. The company is expanding into high-value-added precision casting for marine engines, industrial machinery and semiconductor equipment.

Daedong Metals (independent representatives: Kim Jun-Sik and Lee Pung-woo), Daedong Group’s specialist manufacturer of cast components, announced on June 11, 2026, in a regulatory filing that its board had approved entering into a KRW 1 billion share repurchase trust agreement.

The share repurchase trust agreement is intended to support corporate value enhancement (“value-up”) and responsible management. The contract runs from June 11, 2026, to December 10, 2026. Following its execution, the company plans to repurchase its shares through open-market purchases via the trustee.

Daedong Metals plans to cancel all shares acquired under the trust agreement once the repurchase is complete. By reducing shares in circulation and increasing per-share value, the company expects to deliver tangible returns to shareholders. Based on the closing share price on the day before the board resolution, the KRW 1 billion agreement would cover shares representing approximately 5% of total issued shares.

Daedong Metals has maintained a shareholder-friendly management approach through dividends and bonus issues. The company has paid dividends for 30 consecutive years. In March 2026, it also made its shares more accessible through a 100% bonus issue, allotting one new common share for every existing common share. In its disclosed “value-up” plan, the company also set targets for 2030 of KRW 240 billion in revenue, a price-to-book ratio (PBR) of 2x, a return on equity (ROE) of 10% and a price-to-earnings ratio (PER) of 10x.

Founded in 1947, Daedong Metals specializes in castings and cast iron and has steadily supplied components for agricultural machinery and automobiles. The company is now expanding in earnest beyond its traditional core businesses into high-value-added precision casting for marine engines, industrial machinery and semiconductor equipment. It is also actively preparing to enter the advanced materials business for future agriculture, robotics and mobility, in alignment with the Group’s future businesses.
