‘A New Experience With Every Visit’: GREENSCAPE Attracts About 350,000 Visitors in H1 2026
-. Visitor numbers rise at both Jejudang and Arte Kids Park, driven by seasonal offerings and brand collaborations.
-. Repeat visits by Jeju residents underpin growth in tourist and international arrivals, diversifying visitor profiles and nationalities.
-. Expanded opportunities for local small businesses, artists and young people support the vision of a space that grows with Jeju.
GREENSCAPE, a cultural complex operated by Jeju Daedong, continues to grow through distinctive offerings and programs connected to the local community.
Jeju Daedong (CEO Won Yu-Hyun), a subsidiary of future agriculture leader Daedong, announced on July 23, 2026, that GREENSCAPE attracted a total of about 348,000 visitors in H1 2026, up 14.2% year on year.
Visitor numbers increased at both Jejudang, the bakery café within GREENSCAPE, and Arte Kids Park, its children’s activity venue. Jejudang welcomed about 213,000 visitors in H1 2026, up 13.2% year on year, while Arte Kids Park recorded about 135,000 visitors, an increase of 15.8%. The company explained that, despite continued volatility in Jeju’s tourism market during H1 2026, including increases in fuel surcharges, GREENSCAPE achieved visitor growth by expanding offerings tailored to the seasons and customer profiles.

At Arte Kids Park, Jeju Daedong offered attractions such as ‘Balloon Festa,’ a large-scale balloon installation, along with drone filming experiences, annual passes and family-oriented hands-on programs. It also introduced pop-up stores in collaboration with brands including Citrian and Hyundai Motor Company, giving visitors more reasons to visit and more to enjoy. Jejudang continued to introduce signature drinks and new seasonal menu items, while integrating exhibitions and hands-on programs into the café space. Going beyond a place simply to enjoy food and beverages, GREENSCAPE has strengthened its distinct appeal as a cultural complex where visitors can experience something new with every visit.
The expanded offerings have not only increased visitor numbers but also brought a broader mix of nationalities and travel groups among international visitors. Previously centered on tourists from China and Taiwan, the visitor base has broadened to include Western families, international groups and people affiliated with Jeju’s English-language village. Chinese tour groups also continue to visit, and a growing number of travel agencies and tour guides are including Jejudang in their Jeju itineraries.

Based on point-of-sale (POS) and kiosk payment data, payments by international visitors are estimated to account for approximately 20–25% of all transactions. Jeju Daedong believes that organic word of mouth on social media, together with inclusion in itineraries offered by travel agencies and tour guides, is helping to raise awareness of GREENSCAPE among international tourists as well.
Jeju Daedong is also continuing to expand programs connected to the local community so that visitor growth benefits not only GREENSCAPE but also creates new sales channels and opportunities for participation for Jeju’s small businesses, artists, young people and residents. One such initiative is ‘GREENSCAPE Market,’ held during the second and fourth weeks of each month, with participation by local small businesses, farms and handmade-goods sellers. By offering a venue frequented by tourists as a platform to showcase quality local products, GREENSCAPE helps participating businesses expand their sales channels and supports the local economy.
Part of Jejudang is also used as an exhibition space showcasing Jeju’s arts and culture. It is currently hosting the ‘Young Artists Exhibition,’ featuring works by students in Aewol High School’s art department and giving local young people an opportunity to exhibit their work and engage directly with visitors. Last year, the special exhibition ‘Jeju in Everyday Life,’ featuring 14 Jeju artists, also provided a platform for local artists to showcase their work. These initiatives are seen as having supported the development of future artistic talent and broadened engagement with local arts and culture.

Community giving initiatives for local residents are also continuing. Every Wednesday, Jejudang delivers baked goods from the day’s first batch—not unsold items—to the Bongseong-ri Senior Citizens’ Center, maintaining its ties with local seniors. Through these activities, Jeju Daedong connects the resources and opportunities of a tourist destination with the local community and plans to develop GREENSCAPE into a cultural complex where the benefits of visitor growth are shared and circulated within the community.
Jeju Daedong will expand seasonal cultural offerings and hands-on activities for families and tourists in H2 2026. The ‘Jejudang × Daekyo Crayola Drawing Competition’ will run from July through August 2026, followed by the ‘Jeju International Art Fair Preview Exhibition’ in September 2026, offering visitors new cultural experiences.
